Preschool Applications for the 2024-2025 School Year!

Hastings Public Schools will be offering preschool programs during the 2024-2025 school year. 

HPS preschool is free to children who live in the Hastings Public School district.  If you have a child, or children, who will be at least 3 years old by July 31st, 2024, they may be eligible.  If you are interested in your child participating in the Hastings Public School preschool, you will NEED TO APPLY.

You can find the application and developmental history form at the following website:  https://tinyurl.com/HPSpreK, at any of our Elementary Offices, the District Office and/or at Morton Early Learning Center.

Priority spots will be given to special education students and to students who are 4 years old.  The application and developmental history forms are due to the Administrative Office, Morton ELC or to any Elementary Office by April 1st.  Not all students who apply will be enrolled into preschool.  You will be notified by mail regarding the decision of your child’s participation in Hastings Public Schools preschool program by the end of May.  Children who do not receive a spot in a classroom will be placed on the waiting list and parents will be notified if a spot becomes available.

*Only students who qualify for special education will be eligible to receive transportation to and from preschool.
