PAWS Parent Meeting November 7, 2017 Lincoln School
Meeting called to order by Amber Kennedy at 7:01 p.m. Attendance: list available in Secretary’s notebook
Officer’s Reports: Cara introduced the 2nd grade teachers: Mrs. Rayburn and Mrs. Koch, and Mrs. Meyer, Mrs. Perez, and Mrs. Bertrand (secretary)
Secretary’s Report: McKenzie read Minutes. No corrections were needed on the report. Steve motioned and Kyra made a motion to second.
Principal’s Report:
Ms. Kimball welcomed everyone and encouraged parents to get the word out about our parent group meetings. We would love for more people to come.
President’s Report: Amber thanked everyone for coming and asked for people to spread the word about coming to parent group meetings.
Treasurer’s Report: Jeff was absent, but emailed that there has been no activity since last month. The balance is $2019.03.
Committee Reports:
a. Dine Out Night: Monday, November 13th from 5-8
Cara will email Ms. Will to remind her of Lions Leadership helping. *Kyra discussed having a Burger King night this year. She talked with staff at BK and they said spring would work the best. Kyra will check on a date in March to see if it works.
b. T-shirts: Amber hasn’t talked with anyone about this yet
c. Box Tops: &190.50, which is lower than last year. Patty discussed that we need to come up with ways to promote bringing box tops. We are still saving Allen’s and Russ’s receipts. McKenzie and Cara talked about sending texts via Remind.
New Business:

Carnival Committee: Amber will be setting a date for the
carnival and ask people to be on the committee.

Dr. Seuss Birthday: We were thinking of having it on
February 28th to avoid a conflict with another school. We already have prizes because they came late last year and couldn’t be used.
Announcements:
-
Menu for February PTC: Susana and Zulma created a menu
for teachers to choose their preference. Cara will have
teachers vote before our December meeting.

The next parent group meeting is December 5th at 7pm.
