At Longfellow, we stress the importance of being at school every day—unless illness keeps a student home. When students miss class, it’s harder to catch up on lessons and new concepts. Building strong attendance habits early also helps students grow into responsible adults in their careers and commitments.
To celebrate great attendance, we’ve added a giant Longfellow Leopard to our lunchroom wall! Each week, we calculate class attendance, and homerooms with 95% or higher earn a proud spot for their leopard.
