Field Day - Walkathon

An active day for the Watson Wildcats ~ Thursday, May 12th!

Field Day & Walkathon

Morning: Field Day from 9:00 am-10:30 am

Parents are welcome to watch their students participate in Field Day events and stay for lunch outside. The school is unable to provide lunch to parents, so please bring your own if you plan to eat with your child. We encourage your student to dress in the color assigned to their grade, although not required:

Kindergarten: Purple

First Grade: Red

Second Grade: Orange

Third Grade: Green

Fourth Grade: Yellow

Fifth Grade: Black

Afternoon: Watson Annual Wellness Walk-a-Thon 12:45-2:45 pm

Every student in the school will benefit from this fundraiser!

Students will participate in a 30-min walk and rotate through four wellness stations the afternoon of May 12th. Your student received a folder with a pledge sheet and instructions for the walk-a-thon. Please read the instructions and prize options and encourage your student to participate. All profits go directly to the Watson PTO to fund academic programs, technology and new wellness initiatives at Watson. Parents are welcome to walk/run with their student at the designated time.

Please have students dressed in comfortable clothes and shoes the day of May 12th, as we will be doing a lot of physical activity in and outdoors.

Sunscreen will be provided. Water bottles are highly encouraged.

PRIZES

Every student who turns in a minimum of $15 will get a Giant Bouncy Ball

Top student from each grade will get a picnic lunch from Jimmy Johns with a Special Guest

Every student who raises $50 or more will also get a Watson hat made by Small Town Famous!  

• Students who raise OVER $100 will be entered into the raffle for the TWO top prizes:
  • 3-person membership to the HASTINGS AQUACOURT FOR THE SUMMER
  • 3-person membership to the HASTINGS AQUACOURT FOR THE SUMMER
• Extra RECESS WILL BE AWARDED TO CLASSES with the most money raised!
• A $50 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods will be awarded to the two students who raise the most $$ in the whole school!!
