Thank you to the parents and guardians who took the time to attend our Parent/Teacher Conferences. This is always a great opportunity to talk with your child's teacher about their progress. The staff enjoys meeting parents in order to work as a team in providing an excellent education for your student(s).
PLEASE NOTE:
Daylight Savings Time Ends on Sunday, Nov. 3rd. Set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night. This is a great time to install new batteries in your home smoke & carbon monoxide detectors.
NURSE'S NOTES:
Just a reminder for everyone: A child must be fever-free for 24 hours, without medication (Tylenol or Ibuprofen), before returning to school. A child is contagious for 24 hours after the start of an antibiotic. For example, if they have strep throat, they need to stay home for 24 hrs after the start of the antibiotic. We also try to be a nit-free, lice-free school. If your child has either head lice or eggs they MUST stay home until they are both gone. We are hoping to have a healthy school year! Kindergarten immunizations/physicals need to be turned into the nurse's office if you have not provided them.
Watson Fitness Club: 4th & 5th grade members meet on Mondays after school, 3:30-4:30
Chess Club: meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 NO CHESS CLUB 10/31
Friday, October 25th: PTO is providing free popcorn this year
Thursday, October 31st: Classroom fall parties starting at 2:30pm
PTO NEWS:
*A BIG thank you to everyone who participated in the Eileen's Cookie Dough fundraiser. We will have the total $ amount sold next week, along with the top prize winners.
*Our next PTO meeting is on Monday, November 4th at 7:00pm. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend and share their ideas.
*COOKIE DOUGH PICK-UP is on Tuesday, Nov. 14th after school in the cafeteria
