Morton ELC Open House -- Wednesday, August 12th -- 4:30 PM -- 5:30 PM

Please complete the packet and have ready to give to your child's teacher during home visits or open house.
Important Information for Morton ELC Tiger Cub Families
1. Teachers will be contacting families about placement into classrooms and to set up home visits.
2. The Open House will take place on August 12th from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm. Please bring all supplies and completed paperwork to your student's classroom.
3. The first day of school is Monday, August 17th. Morning class runs from 8:00-11:20. Afternoon classes run from 11:55-3:15. Please make arrangements for your student to be picked up on time. Students do not attend on Fridays due to professional development.
4. Parents, it is your responsibility to notify the school about your child's absence or tardiness. Please call the school office to share the reason for your child's absence.
5. A student handbook is available online (district website) or can be printed. Parents may request a paper copy. It is important to review this handbook with your child, so he/she is aware of school policies.
8. Student breakfast costs $2.35, and lunch costs $3.60. We request that you fill out free and reduced lunch forms, as your child might qualify for free or reduced meals. The form was mailed to families by the district office. If you need a new form, please call or stop by our office. Our phone number is 402-461-7545.
9. Teachers will communicate with parents via communication app called ParentSquare. If you would like to receive important updates from school, please add your email to ParentVUE. The school newsletter is sent once a month. Our website and social media page will also help you stay informed about important events and information at Morton Early Learning Center and Hastings Public Schools.
Any legal documents concerning students must be promptly shared with the school to ensure appropriate support and compliance.
