  • Theo A. (Sypherd) King, a 1948 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 22, 2021.  Theo recorded 3,636 volunteer hours at Mary Lanning Healthcare Auxiliary and served on the board.
  • Delwyn C. Hemje, a 1972 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 26, 2021.  He worked as a foreman at NC+ Hybrids and Centennial Plastics in Hastings until 2018.  
  • Jay E. Wilder, a 1976 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 28, 2021.  He worked for Benton Noble, Hastings Industries and Mid America Pump & Supply.
  • Robert E. Bottolfson, a 1977 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 24, 2021.  He worked in construction and at Thermo King until 2015.  
  • Amanda (Francis) Hinzman, a 1992 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 20, 2021.  She started Estrella Bookkeeping and served many clients.  
  • Mary J (Blum) Moyer, a 1951 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 22, 2021.  She worked at Agtronics and Dana in Hastings. 
  • Ronald L Price, a 1955 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 12, 2021. He served in the United States Navy and he worked as a welder, farmer and did drafting for Chief Industries until retirement.
  • Donald D Kissinger, a 1960 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 9, 2021. He served in the United States Air Force and after worked as a body man in the automobile industry until retirement in the late 2000’s.
  • Brian A. Kohl, a 1968 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 2, 2021.  He worked at Kohl enterprises and oversaw racing events and communications for  MPH  Motorsports Park Raceway in Hastings, retiring in 2006.  
  • Jean (Woolsey) Graham, a 1942 Hastings High graduate passed away on November 16, 2021.  She worked as a laundry supervisor at the Hastings Regional Center for 35 years, retiring in 1989.  
  • Milton A Munson Jr., a 1948 Hastings High graduate passed away on November 16, 2021. He served in the United States Air Force and was a pharmacist.  
  • Timothy S Yurk, a 1976 Hastings High graduate passed away on November 6, 2021. He worked for Honey Do’s Painting until retirement.
  • Julie A (Hopp) Asmus, a 1962 Hastings High graduate passed away on November 7, 2021. She worked out of Mode O’Day and then CPI as payroll clerk until her retirement.
  • Larry D Schnase, a 1949 Hastings High graduate passed away on October 27, 2021.  He served in the United States Air Force.  Larry worked for Western Plastics till 1984 then co-founded Eagle Plastics and remained there until 1999 after which he co-founded Centennial Plastics in 2001 and remained with them until retirement.
  • Faye E (Patterson) Powers, a 1953 Hastings High graduate passed away on October 27, 2021.  She was manager and CEO of Clark Hotel in Hastings.  
  • Rosalie R. (Adams) Sedlacek, a 1950 Hastings High graduate passed away on October 26, 2021.  She worked at the University of Nebraska School of Journalism until she retired in 1993.
  • Larry L Bennett, a 1950 Hastings High graduate passed away on October 23, 2021.  He served his country in the Korean War and worked as a body man for Laird Motors for 27 years, retiring in 1993.  
  • Connie L (Malone) Einsphar, a 1961 Hastings High graduate passed away on October 22, 2021.  She worked at Sunnyside, Libs Park as a lifeguard, Hastings High School as a baker, and Marshalltown as a machine operator.

  • Harlan R. Petersen, a 1958 Hastings High graduate passed away on October 18, 2021.  He served in the United States Navy and worked for Hastings Utilities for 35 years.

  • Anthony Daughtery, a 1982 Hastings High graduate passed away on September 26, 2021.  He worked for Russ’s IGA for 30 years and Pastime Lanes.
  • Lorene R (Enninga) Buscher, a 1951 Hastings High graduate passed away on October 28, 2020. She worked for the County Superintendent’s Office in the Adam’s County Courthouse.
  • Beverly ‘Kay’ (Scaggs) Brown, a 1956 Hastings High graduate passed away on September 28, 2021.  She was employed as Postmaster at the Juniata Post Office.  
  • Dorothy C. (Koch) Mankin, a 1948 Hastings High graduate passed away on September 6, 2021.  She was a teacher and committed to community service for 30 years.
  • Barbara K (Jones) Zaroban, a 1951 Hastings High graduate passed away on September 7, 2021.  She was a music teacher for many schools, taught piano lessons and was the accompanist at Hastings elementaries, Hastings High School, church and community organizations.
  • Chad Hutchinson, a 1987 Hastings High graduate passed away on August 22, 2021. He worked as a civil engineer in a variety of construction jobs and then as a consultant with several firms.
  • Katherine R. (Batt) Anderson, a 1944 Hastings High graduate passed away on August 27, 2021.  She worked as a secretary for Ames Laboratory of the Atomic Energy Commission and for a real estate development company.  She then worked as a purchasing manager at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Laboratory in Boulder.  
  • Marcia R. (Mack) Shane, a 1961Hastings High graduate passed away on August 30, 2021. She was a homemaker, and helped with farm work and was a Deputy County Assessor in Hastings. 
  • Donald G. Hauff, a 1973 Hastings High graduate passed away on August 29, 2021.  Don retired after 39 years with the BNSF Railroad as a conductor/brakeman.
  • Rebecca R. (Schroer) Baker, a 1991 Hastings High graduate passed away on August 29, 2021.  She was employed at the Nebraska State Penitentiary.
  • Jerald E Dirks, a 1950 Hastings High graduate passed away on August 26, 2021. He attended Hastings College for undergraduate studies and then University of Nebraska-Lincoln for doctoral degrees.

  • Nancy Eldred Jelinek, a 1969 Hastings High graduate passed away on August 17, 2021.  She worked for Lincoln Welding, Creative Thinking and formed her own company Steeltrack Inc.  
  • Ronald Schnase, a 1950 Hastings High graduate passed away on August 4, 2021.  He served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from the U.S. Border Patrol and Del Rio San

  • Blair M Lyons, a 1987 Hastings High graduate passed away on August 12, 2021.  He was employed at PW Pipe, Hastings College, Caseys and Coffins in Grand Island.
  • Darlene E (Yost) Wolfe, a 1955 Hastings High graduate passed away on August 9, 2021. She worked as a legal secretary for many years retiring from Langvardt, Foote and Valle Law Office.  She was also a member of many organizations.
  • Samuel R Templin, a 1971 Hastings High graduate passed away on July 29, 2021.  He served in the United States Army and received the National Defense Service Medal.  He then served as President of O.S. Investment Company in Mobile Alabama and later was a Psychiatric Technician at Hastings Regional Center.  
  • Stephen E Fleming, a 1966 Hastings High graduate passed away on July 20, 2021. He served in the United States Army Reserves and helped manage the family business, Fleming Manufacturing.
  • Donald Gray Jr., a 1961 Hastings High graduate passed away on July 11, 2021.  He served in the United States Navy.  He worked in the nuclear power industry  and then in software development.  
  • Bruce J Berck Jr., a 2013 Hastings High graduate passed away on July 17, 2021.  He learned how to weld in high school and was interested in trade work.  He taught himself guitar and played bass for bands when he was younger.
  • S. Scott Harwick, a 1982 Hastings High graduate passed away on June 20, 2021. He was an avid Husker football fan and enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
  • Donald Jugert, a 1950 Hastings High graduate passed away on June 28, 2021.  He served in the United States Army and worked for Dutton Lainson.
  • Ann C. (Horton) Konen, a 1948 Hastings High graduate passed away on July 2, 2021.  She worked for Dutton Lainson and Lincoln Telephone Company
  • Shirley May Dixon, a 1952 Hastings High graduate passed away on June 27, 2021.  She worked in retail as a professional gift wrapper and owned her own salon.
  • Myra R. (Senstock) Krahmer, a 1960 Hastings High graduate passed away on June 27, 2021.  She worked for Western Electric and retired in 2003.  
  • Sharon K. (Tindall) Carpenter, a 1965 Hastings High graduate passed away on May 26, 2021.  She operated a Diet Center franchise and later worked in the administrative office for Kansas Municipality.
  • Muriel A.M. (Urmacher) Krull, a  1943 Hastings High graduate passed away on June 7, 2021.  She worked at Farmer Union as a bookkeeper and then helped run a farming operation in Clay County.
  • Barbara A. (Stromer) Weingart, a 1955 Hastings High graduate, passed away.She was the manager for her husband Philip’s anesthesia practice. 
  • Jacquelyn (Robare) Carl, a 1946 Hastings High graduate passed away on June 10, 2021.  She had a passion for art her entire life.
  • Timothy W. Hamburger, a 1973 Hastings High graduate, passed away.  He worked for Carmichael Construction for over 40 years.
  • Joyce P. (Daniels) Dinnell, a 1944 Hastings High graduate passed away on June 10, 2021.  She was a member of Retired Federal Employees and the Red Cross Disaster Relief.
  • Robert E. Scribner, a 1969 Hastings High graduate passed away on June 10, 2021.  He worked for several grain elevators until his retirement when he started driving for Action Cab.
  • Tami B. Shay, a Hastings High graduate passed away on June 19, 2021.  She worked for Central Community College Cafeteria and the OK Cafe.  
  • Don Kleiber, a 1956 Hastings High graduate passed away on May 23, 2021. He was a major in the Army flying helicopters for two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. After serving 16 ½ years in the Army, he went to work for Tom’s Foods until retirement.
  • Joelene K (Etta) L’Heureux, a Hastings High graduate passed away on April 28, 2021.  She worked as a Paraprofessional and a receptionist. 
  • Lynn O Hanson, a 1970 Hastings High graduate passed away on April 28, 2021.  He served in the Army Reserves and worked at the Roseland Feed Mill and Adams County Department of Roads.
  • Terry J Butzirus, a 1974 Hastings High graduate passed away on April 22, 2021.  He received his degree in Climatology and spent his career at Nebraska Farmer Magazine where he sold advertising and ran farm shows for 40 years.
  • Geraldine (Sarver) Schumann, a 1938 Hastings High graduate passed away.  In 1962, after raising her children, she became the Administrative Assistant at the Hastings Museum where she wrote and edited the ‘Yester News’.  She retired after 30 years.
  • Charles O Stine, a 1965 Hastings High graduate passed away on April 11, 2021.  He played in local bands, Copy Cats and Rocking Rouges.
  • John A Quirk, a 1969 Hastings High graduate passed away on April 11, 2021.  He served as President of Quirk Land and Cattle Co. and also was a founding member and served as executive secretary of the Amerifax Cattle Association.  He was an active member and officer of the board of directors for Hastings Community Foundation and the Adams Countyn Historical Society for more than 20 years. 
  • Floyd O Hansen, a 1948 Hastings High graduate passed away on April 15, 2021.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and farmed in the area for many years
  • David L Kirstine, a 1967 Hastings High graduate passed away on April 4, 2021.  He was enlisted in the United States Army and he worked as a machinist at Western Land Roller and Flowserve, Sutton Public Schools, Firestone and Juniata Co-op.
  • Terry L Larson, a 1959 Hastings High graduate passed away on March 23, 2021.  He served in the United States Army and worked as a journeyman for Hastings Industries for 33 years.

  • Gilbert H Moorhead, a 1957 Hastings High graduate passed away on February 7, 2021.  He served in the United States Army and worked a life in plumbing and heating.  He retired after 30 years at Mary Lanning.
  • Laurie (Petitt) Jones, a 1981 Hastings High graduate passed away on February 23, 2021.  She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was very active in her church.
  • Jean N (Laubon) Beiriger, a 1948 Hastings High graduate passed away on February 5, 2021.  Jeanie worked at City National Bank and Trust until her retirement in 1993.
  • Craig A McDowell, a 1970 Hastings High graduate passed away.  Craig worked for Burlington Northern then Amtrak for 40 years. He ended his career as Amtrak’s Vice General Chairman of the BLET.

  • Velda R (Krull) Schutte, a 1965 Hastings High graduate passed away on February2, 2021.  She was a homemaker, farm wife and a member of the Christ Lutheran Church.
  • Ellis N Brown, M.D., a 1957 Hastings High graduate passed away on February 2, 2021.  He was in the United States Army retiring as a Lt.Col. and then started a private practice of anesthesiology in Austin. Tx.

  • Craig Williams, a 1969 Hastings High graduate passed away on January 28, 2021.  He served in the United States Army and was employed as a shift foreman at the Whelan Energy Center for 35 years.

  • Dee Ann (Peterson) McCurdy, a 1964 Hastings High graduate passed away on January 2, 2021. She earned a master’s in special education and owned and operated Cather Second Home B&B in Red Cloud, NE. She retired in 2010.

  • Gary W Lynch, a 1965 Hastings High graduate passed away on January 4, 2021.  He taught for a short time and then had a career in insurance.
  • Jerrold Mohrlang, a 1958 Hastings High graduate passed away on December 10, 2020.  Jerrold operated his own landscaping business and worked at multiple places.
