The Hastings Public Schools Board of Education represents our diverse community in the fulfillment of the District’s Mission, Vision, strategic plan, and goals.

Guided by those statements, our oath of office, and the Board of Education Norms, the Hastings Public Schools Board of Education is committed to approving policies and making decisions that strive to:

• prepare all students to be successful in institutions of higher learning and/or the workforce;
• provide all staff and students the opportunity to perform to their fullest potential;
• support the safety and well-being of students and staff;
• manage our fiscal and human resources prudently; and
• appoint and hold responsible the most competent person available as Superintendent of schools.
