Hastings Public Schools Completes Superintendent Search
The Hastings Public Schools Board of Education has selected Dr. Christopher Prososki to become their next Superintendent of Schools. A special Board meeting will be held on Thursday, February 6, to officially approve the hire.
Dr. Prososki is scheduled to begin his new position on or around July 1. He will take over for Jeff Schneider who is retiring after 31 years with the district, six of those as superintendent.
Other finalists for the position were Mr. Josh Cumpston, Superintendent at Fillmore Central Public Schools; Mr. John Hauser, Director of Learning and Support at Hastings Public Schools; and Mr. Joél Ruybalid, Superintendent at Blue Hill Public Schools.
Dr. Christopher Prososki has been the Superintendent at Southern Public Schools in Blue Springs and Wymore, NE since 2017. Prior to that, he was the PK-12 Principal at Diller-Odell Public Schools in Diller and Odell, NE.
